It's a sweatpants kind of day. Not that everyday isn't. But today they are especially needed.
We could have had a playdate this morning but it was right during Asa's nap and... we didn't make it. So we stayed home, watched Veggie Tales, had a sword fight and played with our Transformers.
Speaking of Veggie Tales it's one of our new favorite shows on Netflix. Lately we've really been cracking down on the shows Lincoln watches. I'm sorry to say, we had basically let him watch pretty much any kids show up until now.
He would just see the different superhero shows on the screen and ask for those. They were all rated like Y7 or something like that. They weren't terrible.. but ya know, Spiderman was kicking people in the face, Hulk was throwing people off of buildings.. I don't need my 3 year old seeing that. There's got to be better options. Well turns out there's a whole slew of 3 year old appropriate shows. After about a week of saying no to the "mean" superhero show, he's quit asking. So we've been watching a lot of Veggie tales and Thomas the Train. And my mom says that she can notice a difference in Lincoln. Who knows. But I'm just happier I don't have to worry about Redscull killing anyone anymore.
